Disparity Assessments

Identifying and Assessing Structural Inequities

  We focus on identifying policies that foster structural inequities in various aspects of life including health, education, employment opportunities, rates of incarceration, composition of social networks, and the quality of social relations as informed by the conception of structural inequities developed by the National Institute of Health (NIH).


Consultation

Provide consultation with government and community stakeholders to identify structural sources perpetuating inequitable development. 

Survey

  Identify the scope of critical needs and community assets by surveying community residents. 


Empowerment Plans

Community Empowerment Strategies 

 Community Education is an important component of the process of empowering neighborhoods to exercise their agency. Our process for developing Sustaining Empowerment Plans focuses on cultivating partnerships, identification of need, and assessment of community assets among community organization as based on the Corporation for National and Community.


Technical Assistance

Provide technical assistance in analyzing data to develop comprehensive community development plans.   

Workshops

Host workshops that explain the potential benefits of equitable development plans.

Monitor

Assist in monitoring plan implementation.  

 

Outcome Evaluation

 The Four types of evaluation strategies, as informed by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),  that we use depends on the type of programs implemented could include: 


 Formative Evaluation

Ensures that a program or program activity is feasible, appropriate, and acceptable before it is fully implemented. 

Process/Implementation

Determines whether program activities have been implemented as intended.

Outcome/ Effectiveness

Evaluation measures program effects in the target population by assessing the progress in the outcomes or outcome objectives.

Impact Evaluation

Assesses program effectiveness in achieving its ultimate goal.


Assess 

Short-term and systemic long-term plan outcomes.  

Assist 

Plan refinement.
